The article provides information on the implementation of the Decade on Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021–2030) with a view to generating knowledge for the protection of the oceans and the well-being of the inhabitants of the planet. It was noted that information has been developed on Member States, major groups of partners and their proposals, categories of potential action, the establishment of national committees and the request for support for the Decade coordination group. У статті надано інформацію про хід проведення розпочатого Десятиліття, присвяченого науці про океан в інтересах сталого розвитку (2021–2030 рр.) з метою накопичення знань, щоб захистити океани і забезпечити добробут жителів планети. Зазначено, що сформовано відомості про держави-члени, основні групи партнерів та їхні пропозиції, категорії потенційних заходів, створення національних комітетів і прохання надання підтримки групі з координації проведення Десятиліття.
