Приведены результаты исследований свойств пород вулканического происхождения - базальта и андезита (месторождений Западной Украины) как потенциального сырья для силикатных производств. Показаны особенности их исходного химико-минералогического состава, связанные с различиями генезиса, и зависимость физико-механических свойств от степени спекания и структурных преобразований при обжиге. Наведені результати досліджень властивостей порід вулканічного походження – базальту та андезиту (родовищ Західної України) як потенційної сировини для силікатних виробництв. Показані особливості їх вихідного хіміко-мінералогічного складу, що пов’язані з відмінностями генезису, та залежність фізико-механічних властивостей від ступеня спікання та структурних перетворень при випалі.
