Резюме:The perspective of use of lithium aluminosilicate glasses as a base for development of glass-ceramic high-strength material for personal armor elements was established. The choice of R2O–RO–RO2–R2O3–LiF–CaF2–P2O5–SiO2 system was substantiated, the glass formation area was investigated and compositions of model glasses were synthesized. The structure of model glasses after melting was studied in relation to their physic-chemical properties. It has been established that developed lithium aluminosilicate glasses are characterized by elevated performance characteristics and can be used in obtaining a modern composite armor.
