The perspective of use of lithium aluminosilicate glasses as a base for development of glass-ceramic high-strength material for personal armor elements was established. The choice of R2O–RO–RO2–R2O3–LiF–CaF2–P2O5–SiO2 system was substantiated, the glass formation area was investigated and compositions of model glasses were synthesized. The structure of model glasses after melting was studied in relation to their physic-chemical properties. It has been established that developed lithium aluminosilicate glasses are characterized by elevated performance characteristics and can be used in obtaining a modern composite armor. Установлена перспективность использования литийалюмосиликатных стекол как основы при разработке стеклокристаллических высокопрочных материалов для элементов индивидуальной бронезащиты. Обоснован выбор системы R2O–RO–RO2–R2O3– LiF–CaF2–P2O5–SiO2, исследована область стеклообразования и синтезированы составы модельных стекол. Исследована структура модельных стекол после варки во взаимосвязи с их физико-химическими свойствами. Установлено, что разработанные литийалюмосиликатные стекла характеризуются высокими эксплуатационными свойствами и могут быть использованы при создании современной композиционной брони. Встановлена перспективність використання літійалюмосилікатних стекол як основи при розробці склокристалічних високоміцних матеріалів для елементів індивідуального бронезахисту. Обгрунтовано вибір системи R2O–RO–RO2–R2O3–LiF– CaF2–P2O5–SiO2, досліджено область склоутворення та синтезовано склади модельних стекол. Досліджено структуру модельних стекол після варки у взаємозв’язку з їх фізико- хімічними властивостями. Встановлено, що розроблені літійалюмосилікатні стекла характеризуються високими експлуатаційними властивостями і можуть бути використані при створенні сучасної композиційної броні.
