Резюме:Possible ways to ensure a floatability of gel layers on the surface of flammable liquids were investigated in this paper. The results of experimental search of materials for applying as a carrier of a fire-extinguishing gel of system “lightweight carrier-gel” during fire extinguishing are shown. It was determined, that the most effective lightweight carrier of extinguishing gel are ceramsite and foam-glass, that were developed, since these silicate materials showed the best results of floatability on the surface of petrol.
