Description У статті з’ясовується роль тілесної ідентичності у становленні
цілісної людської самоідентифікації в період пізнього модерну. Мода
класифікується як форма прояву культури й розглядається як середовище

творення тілесного. Акцентується увага на причинно-наслідковому
зв’язку

між соціальними процесами і зміною моди в європейській

культурі кінця ХІХ – початку ХХ століття. Підсумовується,
що основним результатом такого відношення є формування нових
моделей чоловічого і жіночого тіла, таких як денді та світська дама (The article is revealing the role of bodily identity in the formation of
a coherent human identity in the late modern. The fashion is classified as a form of manifestation of culture and environment, which is seen as the
creation of flesh. Attention is focusing on the cause – effect connection
between social processes and fashion changes in the European culture in
the late XIX –early XX centuries. It is concluded that the main result of
such type of connection is the formation of new models of male and female
body, such as a dendy and a secular lady)
