Program includes main principles and concepts of sustainable development and integrated water resources management. It theoretically substantiates the necessity of adoption of integrated water resources management in Ukraine. Students will study modern problems of water control in the world and Ukraine, interactions between water quality and quantity; ways of determining water availability and use, relationship between water, the environment and society; international experience in water management, including law, political science and sociology; conflicts over water resources. The focus will be on different functions of the water resources system, water using sectors, and international cooperation.
