The article concentrates on problem maintenance of stability of highly technological processes. One of the solutions of the given problem is improvement of the quality of process. For quantitative and a quality test of process of operation of the cutting tool it is offered to apply a complex merit number in which role it is recommended to use reliability of the cutting tool. For the analysis of factors and the conditions influencing reliability of the cutting tool, it was offered to use the improved cause and effect diagram. As have established. That for improvement of the quality of process of operation of the cutting tool it is necessary to provide a meeting the requirements of standard EN ISO 9001-2000.
