Стаття присвячена описові досліджень туристичного дискурсу та дискурсивного аналізу мови туризму сучасними англомовних вчених. В даній роботі розглянуто найвагоміші дослідження туристичного дискурсу та підходи до вивчення мови туризму. (The article is devoted to tourism discourse and discourse analysis of language of tourism by modern English-speaking scholars. This paper analyzes the most significant investigations of tourism discourse and approaches to studies of language of tourism in the works of J. Urry, G. Dann, C. Thurlow, A. Jaworski, and S. Francesconi. Discussing current view on language used in tourism as a specific kind of language, that fulfills multiple functions due to the specific position of tourism in the current society, the article attempts to study significance of tourism texts and their role in symbolic transformation of destinations. The paper brings together discourse and tourism. Although both fields gained critical and theoretical bases in their own right, the ways of their interaction received much less attention. The study of tourism discourse is interdisciplinary in nature and deals with relation of traveler / tourist to space, representations of the tourist experience, mobility-related identities, or ways of enacting the tourist experience. The article aims to overview different theoretical and methodological approaches to tourism discourse, opening perspectives for further practical investigation of tourism texts, printed and digital.) |
