Статтю присвячено комунікативно-орієнтованому навчанню іноземної мови. Проаналізовано причини недостатнього оволодіння іноземними мовами на комунікативному рівні випускниками вітчизняних шкіл та ВНЗ. Визначено основні бар’єри та перешкоди комунікативно-орієнтованого навчання іноземної мови. Обґрунтовано засоби впливу на процес підвищення рівня іншомовної комунікативної компетентності, а також відображено практичний досвід реалізації комунікативно-діяльнісного підходу до навчання іноземних мов шляхом впровадження колективних технологій навчання іноземних мов. (The article deals with the communication-based learning of a foreign language. The approach enables the teachers of foreign languages to carry out an independent analysis of a variety of modern strategies of learning of foreign languages, a host of techniques and adequate application of theoretical generalizations. This approach allows the integration of different strategies, technologies and methods of foreign language teaching. The paper analyses the reasons of insufficient acquisition of foreign languages at a communicative level by secondary school leavers and graduates of the universities. The problem is that while teaching a foreign language at schools or colleges the knowledge of the language is often given more importance than the practical skills to use the given language. The main hurdles to the communication-based learning of a foreign language are identified. The main barriers to the sufficient level of a foreign language acquisition consist in lacking skills of spontaneous speech; insufficient knowledge of colloquial «spontaneous speech units» and fillers of silence; inability to start and maintain a conversation in a foreign language; a feeling of confusion and fear before a foreign language intercourse; lacking practical linguistic skills (lexical, grammatical, phonetic). One of the means which influences the process of enhancing foreign language communicative competence is the implementation of communicative and active approach to foreign language teaching specifically the formation of foreign language skills and knowledge in the process of the active foreign language intercourse. The convergence of the process of learning a foreign language and real communication is of great significance. In this regard, the students’ cognitive activities are organized so that they should carry out motivated language intercourse with the purpose to solve communication problems. The implementation of communicative and active approach to learning foreign languages is carried out through the collective learning technologies of teaching foreign languages.) |
