Today the most important risk and challenge in e-commerce and e-banking are online fraud and phishing attacks. Phishing attack is one of the most used tools to steal users' passwords or electronic codes in electronic transactions conducted in virtual environment. In this kind of fraud, the swindler or phisher sends emails to the victim with various claims and lead the victim to his fake pages using different techniques. To confront these attacks, several techniques have been invented. Web pages, e-mails and phishing address have characteristics which can be utilized to detect these attacks. In this paper we present an approach to detect and predict phishing websites using classification algorithms based on characteristics of web pages which have a lower error rate compared to other techniques to confront phishing attacks especially similar techniques based on data mining algorithms. |
