Стаття присвячена спортивній лексиці, що розглядається на прикладі складних іменників, вибраних із публікацій німецьких спортивних журналів. Пропонується аналіз та порівняння трьох варіантів мови спорту. Увага акцентується саме на лексиці спортивної публіцистики. (The article focuses on sports vocabulary, which is treated using the examples of compound nouns selected from the electronic versions of the German sports magazines publications. A definition, analysis and comparison of three options of the German language of sport are suggested. The investigation is based on the German researchers’ views. The specialist language of sport is widely spoken by sports professionals as well as by all those involved in sport (media, supporters, announcers, etc.). Besides, it is a language of sports handbooks and manuals. Sports slang is a colloquial version of the first variety of the language under consideration and is used in a narrow circle of athletes and fans. The language of sports periodicals is a variation of the language of sport that is known to general public and is the subject of many studies. The article argues that the language of sports journalism will combine the features of the first two variations of the language of sport. Our attention is focused on the vocabulary of sports periodicals. In our study we are making an attempt to investigate how the features and main topics of sports articles are represented using compound nouns. Five main points supported by numerous examples are identified. In final section of the article some structural features of nominal composite forms selected from the entries of the German sports magazines have received a great deal of attention. These are proper names and the words of foreign origin as immediate constituents of compound nouns.) |
