У статті здійснено компаративно-типологічний аналіз творів В.С.Моема «The Ant And the Grasshopper»(«Мураха та коник») і В.Підмогильного «Проблема хліба» з метою виявлення та підтвердження впливу філософії Ф.Ніцше на творчість письменників, зокрема його ідеї аполлонівсько-діонісійського дуалізму і її ролі у формуванні типу «людини- паразита», а також інтерпретації та репрезентації цього типу людини в оповіданнях письменників. (The article deals with the comparative-typological analysis of the works «The Ant and the Grasshopper» by W.S.Maugham and «The Problem of Bread» by V.Pidmohylny, in order to identify and confirm the influence of F.Nietzsche’s philosophy on the work of these writers, including his idea of Apollonian-Dionysian dualism and its role in creating a type of «parasite man», as well as interpretation and representation of this type in the stories of the writers. Though the problem of Nietzsche’s significant influence on literature at the turn of the century (the end of the 19th – the beginning of the 20th century) is a topical issue of modern literary studies, Nietzschean descriptive typology of man has been still unnoticed by scientists, including the influence of Dionysian (or Apollonian) principles on the formation of a certain type of man. For the first time there is made an attempt to detect some common and distinctive features of Maugham’s and Pidmohylny’s interpretation of a type of «parasite man» in their short stories and to draw parallels between them. The results of the conducted research allow looking at the work of English (W.S.Maugham) and Ukrainian (V.Pidmohylny) writers from another angle and open completely new prospects of research in this direction.) |
