У статті розглядається жанр як один з елементів систематизації літературного матеріалу та жанроутворюючі фактори. Прослідковується поділ творів Г. Пінтера за за жанровосематичним принципом на «ранні комедії загрози і манери», соціально-психологічні драми, політичні твори, п’єси спогади, або «час грає». Розглядається модифікація «політичної» драми та її особливості. (The article examines genre as part of the systematization of literary material and factors of genre formation. Pinter’s works can be divided by genre and thematically into early comedies of threats and manners, social and psychological dramas, political works, and plays of memory. In this article we consider the modification of political drama and its features. Since the question of the genre attribution of the plays by Harold Pinter remains open, different researchers define them as antiplays, metaphysical dramas, lyrical and philosophical dramas, even as psychological plays. The early absurdist works of by H. Pinter were called «the drama of fear», in which the real and the unreal merge, passing one into the other. Pinter’s plays can be divided into two groups, basing on genre grounds: «the dark tragicomedies», populated by mysterious characters, whose conversations parodied the conventional forms of human communication and «the metaphysical dramas». Political themes in the works of Harold Pinter arose quite late, in the 1980s and 1990s. The prominent feature of these dramas is the combination of generalization and concretization: on the one hand, the characters are always individual, real, the author doesn’t seek to show them as the examples of a class, a party, a country, or an organization (here he departs from the tradition of political genre, where behind the puppet characters specific political forces are hidden). On the other hand, the real historical event is hazy and generalized.) |
