У статті окреслено основні напрямки вивчення жанрово-стильових парадигм романістики української діаспори. Виділено ключові проблеми великої прози діаспори другої половини ХХ століття. Романи української діаспори розглянуто в контексті загальнонаціональної літератури (The author of the article accentuates that during the period of 1940s – 1980s the Ukrainian Diaspora published approximately 100 new novels. Therefore, it is stated that the primary task of literary history is to examine major literary trends of the Ukrainian Diaspora. In this article the author analyses the works of writers who were in exile during World War II. The objects of the study are Ukrainian Diaspora novels of 1960s–1980s, unknown archival sources (correspondence, memoirs, and autobiographies), works and periodicals of the Artistic Ukrainian Movement and Ukrainian Writers’ Association in Exile «Slovo». Analysing the genre and style of the novelistic prose of the Ukrainian Diaspora, the author underlines that a researcher should examine not only the prose development in mainland Ukraine but also the prose which is developing in countries of permanent residence of Ukrainian emigrants in camps for displaced persons. Therefore, the article deals with such kind of comparison and presents dominant stylistic features of the Ukrainian Diaspora literature. Thus, this kind of analysis helps the author of the article to depict a complete picture of the Ukrainian Diaspora literature in the context of national and world literatures of 1960s–1980 s) |
