Description In today's world, the development of which is provided by information and communication technologies, there is increasing attention to learning engineering, Internet-things and embedded systems. To prepare the younger generation for life in a competitive high-tech society should develop interest, build positive motivation in students to making, scientific and technical creativity, technique and high technology. According to experts in the distant future there will be new jobs that will be associated with high-technology and manufacturing at the junction of the natural sciences, especially specialists will be needed in bio- and nanotechnology. Future professionals need comprehensive training and knowledge from various fields of science, engineering and technology. The basis of this development is STEAM-and STEM-education. Robotics as one of the areas of STEM-education can increase interest in learning, research and experimental activities and, as a result, the motivation of young people to the election of technical specialties. However, educational robotics implementation into the educational process requires teacher training, which have systemic knowledge in the field, ready for innovation and research activities with the students and they possess relevant soft skills by themselves. This contradiction led the development relevance training courses, seminars and workshops to study robotics for students of pedagogical universities and teachers. The article also presents research of readiness to implementation classroom robotics, a list of new professional and life competencies of primary school teachers who have to teach students the basics of robotics, and describes the program curriculum of educational robotics.
