| Description |
The main goal of socio-pedagogical activities with a family with a child with special needs is to help them in coping with difficulties in raising the child, contribute to its optimal functioning; influence the family to mobilize its capabilities to meet the challenges of educational and rehabilitation process. In other words, the goal of a social pedagogue - to promote social adaptation and rehabilitation of families in their situation. Families who have children with problems in physical or mental development, unfortunately, still remain one of the most vulnerable groups in Ukraine. So, scientists and practitioners are challenged to advance forms and methods of work with this category of customers for improving their quality of life. The authors presented the results of a survey of pedagogical staff of after-school educational institutions, conducted in Kyiv, Ukraine in 2016. The article defines problems of social and pedagogical support for children with special needs and their parents in comprehensive school educational establishments of Kyiv. The research does not exhaust the content and the complexity of abovementioned problem. It requires further study of the following areas: development diagnostic tools for identifying needs of parents of children with special needs; increasing motivation for staff of integrated extracurricular educational institutions towards the implementation inclusive education; especially, creation and development of comprehensive programs of socio-educational support for parents raising children with special needs in comprehensive school educational institutions Авторами статті презентуються результати опитування педагогічних працівників позашкільних навчальних закладів м.
