У дисертації аналізуються етно-національні чинники творчості закарпатського письменника Івана Чендея, які є визначальними для його ідіостилю. Письменник локалізує хронотоп більшості творів на гірському селі Забереж ХХ ст., відтворює герметичний світ матеріального (органічна єдність персонажів із хатою і садибою, світом природи, реманентом, потреба і радість праці на землі) і духовного (родина, християнсько-язичницький світогляд, мова, взаємини у спільноті, стійкість у важких історичних випробуваннях ХХ ст.) буття верховинця. Його оригінальність руйнується поступом «цивілізації», якій протиставляється цілісна патріархальність. І. Чендей сприймає і зображує закарпатців та їх неповторну культуру як невід’ємні складники українства й української культури. Самобутні верховинські морально-етичні цінності персонажів письменника набувають загальнолюдського значення.
В диссертации анализируются этно-национальные факторы творчества закарпатского писателя Ивана Чендея, определяющие его идиостиль. Писатель локализирует хронотоп большинства произведений в горном селе Забереж ХХ в., воссоздает герметический мир материального (органическое единство персонажей с хатой и усадьбой, миром природы, орудиями труда, потребность и радость работы на земле) и духовного (род, христианско-языческое мировоззрение, язык взаимоотношений в сообществе, стойкость в тяжелых исторических испытаниях ХХ в.) бытия жителей Верховины. Его оригинальность разрушается поступью «цивилизации», которой противопоставляется целостная патриархальность. И. Чендей воспринимает, изображает закарпатцев и их неповторимую культуру как неотъемлемые составляющие украинской нации и ее культуры. Самобытные верховинские морально-этические ценности персонажей писателя приобретают общечеловеческое значение. The thesis analyzes ethno-national creativity factors of Transcarpathian writer Ivan Chendei, which are determinative for his idiostyle. This approach stems from the fact that the ethno-national interpretation of some literary works or all works of local writers is promising and very productive deed. These same "wrapped up" in the regional culture were most Transcarpathian writers. The originality and hermeticity of Verkhovyna material and spiritual life in its close relationship with existence of the Ukrainian nation and universal ethical and spiritual values are the brightest and most complete reflected in the works by Ivan Chendei, acknowledged by many literary critics. The writer localizes chronotope of most works on Zaberezh, a mountain village of twentieth century, and reproduces the hermetic world of material (the organic unity of characters with a family hut and a plot of land, the natural world, inventory items, the need for and pleasure from rustic job) and spiritual (the family, Christian-pagan ideology, language, community relations, and endurance in challenging historical events of the twentieth century) daily graft of highlanders. The writings of Ivan Chendei depict harmonious coexistence of humans with the surrounding world, consisting in a hut, yard, household and inventory items, land plot, and domestic animals, endowed with traits of family members. The writer and his characters adhere to poetization of the surrounding world, specific toponyms, among which Yasenova mountain takes the most remarkable place. The writer goes in smallest details depicting household and inventory items, somewhat resorting to partial personalization. Highlanders consider routine job the basis and measure of all material and spiritual values. The special feature of Chendei`s works is that he not only refers to certain labor processes, but depicts them in detail. Material life of Chendei`s characters is inextricably linked to spiritual and cultural existential foundations. The author writes about all family members with great reverence, thus highlighting the family`s role as the center of spiritual life of highlanders in the works by Ivan Chendei. The real bearers and guardians of folk and Christian beliefs in the Chendei`s works appear archetypal figures of those characters who more or less call up artistically transformed personality prototype, the writer`s father. The Christian worldview, closely associated with ancient pagan beliefs, and appropriate moral and ethical standards have enabled Transcarpathians to preserve their ethnic distinctiveness for centuries of oppression. The originality and organicity of highlanders` life is being destroyed by progress of "civilization", opposed by complete patriarchy of local people. Throughout the twentieth century, the problems of national and cultural identity were most important and painful for the writer and his characters, as well as for all residents of Transcarpathia. I. Chendei identifies himself as Ukrainian writer, adopts the traditions of national literature of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, and chooses Ukrainian literary language as the basis for artistic presentment of his works, involving a small number of Verkhovyna dialecticisms. Similarly, Transcarpathia, its people, and culture appear in the works of Ivan Chendei an integral part of the Ukrainian state, the Ukrainian nation and culture. The works of Chendei have become an artistic chronicle of Transcarpathia of twentieth century, although the author does not mention any specific events or dates. High humanism reflected in attitude to compatriots and representatives of other nationalities, diligence, patience, and the ability to rise above the fray of duty, based on transcendent values, gave the highlanders the opportunity to keep their ethnic culture almost unimpaired, to preserve ethnic and national identity in intricate twists and turns of history. I. Chendei sees and portrays Transcarpathians and their unique culture as integral components of Ukrainian heritage and culture. Therefore, the distinctive Verhovinsky moral and ethical values of his characters gain a universal importance. |
