Стаття присвячена дослідженню особливостей ідіодискурсу американського письменника Дейва Баррі. Розглянуто притаманні його творчості постмодерністські прийоми створення комічного з урахуванням лінгвальних та екстралінгвальних характеристик дискурсу. (The article investigates particularities of idiodiscourse of American writer Dave Barry. It focuses on basic features of postmodern comic means, taking into consideration lingual and extralingual characteristics of discourse. Postmodern methods of comic effect in the author’s idiodiscourse are singled out. As modern linguistics is based on anthropocentric paradigm, it proposes studies of author’s idiodiscourse more up-to-date for linguists. The term «idiodiscourse» itself is not investigated enough, that promises new results. We pointed out both lingual and extralingual components, inherent in Dave Bary’s idiodiscouse. As for lingual, among them are: non-observance of compositional canons of writing, usage of polystylistic devices such as allusion, phonetic game, intertextuality, that amuse the reader; connection between the title of a chapter and a picture in it; usage of intralingual inclusions. The determinant extralingual feature of the author’s idiodiscourse is self-presentation on the book covers in various manners. It proves that Dave Barry has great sense of humour and that he is self-ironic and makes a fool of himself in public.) |
