| Description |
The question of preparation of teachers to work with gifted children is one of the priorities in the countries of the European Union. Based on the analysis of the Report „Eurydice” the author covers the features of training and professional improvement of teachers of gifted students in European countries. Such a teacher differs in the level of intellectual abilities and creative approach. Unfortunately, in most countries, teachers who work with gifted children are not considered as a separate category of workers, and are equal to those who work at a usual school. The experience of Austria and France deserves special attention. Special training for teachers who work with gifted children in these countries is carried out, and in Poland, the UK, Spain, Germany this issue is considered in part. The author provides examples of professional development courses for teachers through distance education, the goal of which is to share the information, knowledge and abilities with students, as they allow identifying and diagnosing the ability, supporting and developing children's hobbies and interests. A characteristic feature is the fact that in Europe a teacher may voluntarily increase his/her professional level. Terms vary from several days to several months, but after listening to postgraduate courses, students receive a European certificate, which gives them the opportunity to work with talented students. In countries such as France, Spain, Slovenia special courses are organized for school psychologists and pedagogues, and in Austria, the Netherlands, Portugal there are public or private centres, which help teachers who work with talented students. Питання підготовки вчителів для навчання обдарованих дітей є одним з пріоритетних в країнах Європейського Союзу. На основі аналізу Рапорту “Єврідіс” розглянуто особливості підготовки та професійного вдосконалення вчителів обдарованих учнів у європейських країнах. Представлено приклади проведення курсів з підвищення кваліфікації для вчителів за допомогою дистанційної освіти, метою яких є надання відповідної інформації, знань і вмінь, які допоможуть точно ідентифікувати й діагностувати здібності, підтримувати й розвивати дитячі захоплення та інтереси. |
