Метою створення Каталогу є поширення вітчизняного досвіду щодо підтримки та виховання демократичного громадянства в Україні та розвитку освіти в галузі прав людини, впровадження успішних практик національно-патріотичного виховання школярів. Виховання демократичного громадянства спрямовано на реалізацію освітніх заходів, що допомагають молоді брати активну участь у житті суспільства, формують активну громадянську позицію, виховують у дусі взаємоповаги та розуміння. Укладачі розглядають поняття «успішна практика» як практичну діяльність, яка дозволяє отримати успішні результати в галузі громадянської освіти, сприяє формуванню громадянської компетентності, набуванню відповідних вмінь і навичок у школярів України. Каталог містить 60 успішних практик The purpose of the Catalog is to disseminate domestic experience in supporting and educating democratic citizenship in Ukraine and the development of human rights education, the introduction of successful practices of national-patriotic education of schoolchildren. The education of democratic citizenship is aimed at the implementation of educational activities that help young people take an active part in society, form an active civic position, cultivate a spirit of mutual respect and understanding. The authors consider the concept of "successful practice" as a practical activity that allows successful results in the field of civic education, promotes the formation of civic competence, acquisition of appropriate skills and skills for Ukrainian schoolchildren.
