Функціонування європейського міфу у галузі мистецтва нового сучасного роману в Україні створює новий світогляд у українських літературознавчих дослідженнях.The article is devoted to the genre and stylistic features of the alternative history genre. The article tries to determine the identity and the way of newmodern novel in Ukraine and its comparative position in the stage of foreign novel in this genre. Functioning of the European myth in the arts area of newmodern novel in Ukraine create a new world view in the Ukrainian literary studies.
