| Description |
The article deals with the practice of denial of genocidal crimes in the world. The author classifi es such denials into “conscientious” and “lacking in conscientiousness”, and draws to the conclusion that political aspects gain priority over the legal ones in denials of some crimes of genocides. Among denials of the Holodomor as a crime of genocide the author singles out those which are based either upon lack of knowledge and necessary data (“conscientious” denials) or upon lie, false information about the Holodomor, spreading the myth about natural character of famine in Ukraine, lack of any interest on the side of other states, fear of responsibility (denials “lacking in conscientiousness”).
У статті проаналізовано практику заперечень злочинів геноцидів у світі і проведено класифікацію таких заперечень на «добросовісні» і «недобросовісні». Зроблено висновок про надання пріоритету політичним аспектам над правовими у запереченнях деяких злочинів геноцидів. |
