The article is devoted to Sergei Zhyvotkov, whose style was formed in the atmosphere of break of 1990s, in the transition of the Ukrainian art from normative social realism to free creativity. Sergei Zhyvotkov as a representative of the late 80’s — early 90th generation immediately shoved individual artistic manner. He can be considered as a follower of the aesthetic principles of Gregory Gavrilenko. Paintings of Sergei Zhyvotkov are full of asceticism, lyrical insight into the plot, and meditative artistic process. In times when the youth was refusing any tradition and was developing a postmodern method Sergei Zhyvotkov respected the traditions of the Renaissance and the classical avant-garde. In his concise compositions he pays tribute to formizm which becomes a figurative sense in his both figurative and not figurative cycles. As one of the representatives of the rebellious generation Sergei with his romantic soul took a very independent place in the artistic process of Ukraine in the late 20th century. The main theme of his works is Venice with her secretly and poetic aura. Статтю присвячено творчості Сергія Животкова, який сформувався в атмосфері зламу 90-х років ХХ ст. при переході українського мистецтва від нормативного соцреалізму до вільної творчості. Сергій Животков як представник покоління кінця 80-х — початку 90-х рр. одразу набув очевидної індивідуальної художньої манери. Його можна вважати послідовником естетичних принципів Григорія Гавриленка. Живопису Сергія Животкова властивий аскетизм, лірична проникливість у сюжет, медитативність у художньому процесі. В час, коли молодь відмовлялась від будь-якої традиції, випрацьовуючи постмодерністський метод, Сергій Животков з повагою ставився до традицій Ренесансу та класичного авангарду. У лаконічних композиціях він віддає належне формізму, який стає змістом як фігуративних, так і нефігуративних циклів. Як один із представників бунтівного покоління, Сергій із душею романтика посів абсолютно самостійне місце в художньому процесі України наприкінці ХХ ст. Головна тема його творчості — це Венеція з її утаємниченою і поетичною аурою. |
