The article “Varieties of Modern Inter-State Formations” by V.M. Yakushik, Director of the UKMA Centre for Social and Political Research, and P. I. Grytsyak, a UKMA second-year student, proposes a systematisation of the existing types of inter- State formations. The authors classify those formations either as associations of States, or as special instruments of inter-State cooperation. Definitions of the main types of inter-State formations are proposed, and specific examples from Ukrainian and international experience are given. Special attention is devoted to the analysis of noninstitutionalised inter-State formations. У статті директора Центру суспільно-політичних досліджень НаУКМА доктора політичних наук, професора В.М.
