В дисертаційній роботі проаналізовано застосування мозаїчних творів в опорядженні фасадного і інтер’єрного вистрою архітектури Львова кінця ХІХ ст. – початку ХХІ ст., розроблено власну методику їхнього дослідження. Систематизовано та узагальнено результати попередніх розвідок, виконано натурні дослідження, інвентаризацію мозаїки в архітектурі, та комплекс дослідницьких інтерв’ю, що дало змогу: виявити та атрибутувати значний обсяг мозаїчних творів в архітектурі міста. На основі аналізу та систематизації зібраних даних твори класифіковано за: хронологічно-стилістичним зрізом, функціональної типології архітектури та композиційно-просторового вирішення в архітектурі; визначено зовнішні та внутрішні фактори впливу на застосування мозаїки, проаналізовано ареал та інтенсивність поширення застосування її в архітектурі Львова; визначено основні композиційні принципи застосування мозаїчних творів в опорядженні фасадів і інтер’єрів. Складено оцінку існуючого стану збереження творів та їх цінності в архітектурі Львова. Виявлено основні етапи та причини руйнування і сформовано рекомендації щодо охорони та реставрації мозаїки в архітектурі. В диссертационной работе проанализированы применения мозаичных произведений в архитектуре Львова конца XIX в. - начала XXI в., разработана собственная методика их исследования. Систематизированы и обобщены результаты предыдущих исследований, выполнены натурные исследования, инвентаризация мозаики в архитектуре, и комплекс исследовательских интервью, что позволило: выявить и атрибутировать значительное количество мозаичных произведений в архитектуре города. На основе анализа и систематизации собранных данных мозаики классифицированы за: хронологически-стилистическим срезом, функциональной типологии архитектуры и композиционно-пространственного решения в архитектуре; определены внешние и внутренние факторы влияния на применение мозаичных произведений, проанализированы ареал и интенсивность распространения мозаики в архитектуре Львова; определены основные композиционные принципы применения мозаичных произведений в архитектуре. Составлена оценка существующего состояния сохранности произведений и их ценности в архитектуре города. Определены основные этапы и причины разрушения и сформированы рекомендации по охране и реставрации мозаики в архитектуре. The usage of mosaic compositions for decorating facade and interior designs in the architecture of Lviv of the late 19th – early 21st centuries has been analyzed in the present dissertation work and the unique methodology for their research has been elaborated. Previous studies on the topic of using mosaic compositions in architecture have been systematized and summarized. The analysis has revealed that the relevant studies are fragmentary and only separate aspects are fully covered. The investigation, which is based on the conducted field observations, the inventory of mosaics in architecture, and the complex of research interviews, enabled the possibility of identifying and describing a considerable amount of works in the architecture of Lviv. As based on the analysis and systematization of the collected empirical data, mosaic compositions have been classified according to the following criteria: chronological and stylistic features, functional typology, compositional and space-planning decisions in architecture. The area of using mosaics and its abundance in the architecture of Lviv have been specified and analyzed. It has been discovered that the decoration of architecture depends on the wide array of external interconnected factors (general factors, i.e. political, economic, cultural, and ethnic; special factors, i.e. influence of dominant architecture schools, urban development, Christian architecture tradition, educational, technical, and technological factors), which are combined with the internal factors (including function of architecture, architecture composition, and architecture style) and determine the conditions and specificity of using mosaic compositions in the architecture of Lviv. This conclusion has confirmed the connection and dependence of the mosaic art on the architecture and the development of the city. The basic compositional principles of using mosaic compositions for decorating facades and interiors have been outlined (functional definition; spatial conformity, compositional subordination, stylistic conformity; visual emphasis on streets and squares). The principles testify that the mosaic compositions used for the decoration of buildings serve as an integral element of the general architectural composition of Lviv. Mosaic compositions are tightly connected with the architecture for which they were designed and produced, and have a significant impact on the visual image of city streets and squares. The results of the research, which delves into the artistic aspects of architecture and its interconnection with art, have specified and extended the knowledge in the realm of the theory of architecture. They have contributed to the effective design and reconstruction of the artificial environment with the help of using mosaic compositions. Taking into account the analysis of the empirical data collected during the inventory of mosaic compositions in the architecture of Lviv, we have discovered that mosaics used for facade and interior decorations can have different aesthetic, utilitarian, cultural, artistic, creative, scholarly, historical, and urban space development value. The evaluation of the present state of preservation of mosaic compositions in the architecture of Lviv of the late 19th – early 21st centuries has been completed. The main problems, causes and stages of destruction of the mosaics and the architectural composition have been determined. It has been concluded that not enough attention is being paid to the protection of mosaic compositions that belong to the monumental artistic heritage of Ukraine. Unique objects are under the threat of disappearance and require to be immediately included into the state register of monuments of Ukraine. The results of the research have confirmed the necessity for scientists of different specializations to focus on the discussed problem. We have suggested six recommendations for preserving and restoring mosaic compositions in architecture, which depend on their preservation state and value. The algorithm stipulating the sequence of major restoration measures has been elaborated. The results of the research contribute to the task of solving the problems of protecting, restoring, preserving, and using the architectural heritage of Ukraine, which would meet the demands of the national and city development programs. |
