The results of researching contact areas topography on the front panel are presented on the example of the instrument. The results depend on the cutting speed when turning hardened steel. The main factors of changes in the group of micro-irregularities on the instrument contact abrasive particles in the machined material in the cutting speed range 0,5 ? 1,5 m/sec; temperature increase and intensive mechanical and chemical processes on the instrument front panel in the speed range 2,0?3,0 m/sec. |
