Interconnection of the acoustic characteristics and hardness of the steel 30HGSNA and U8 is studied. The technique of measurement was that the samples at the initial stage of the ultrasonic propagation velocity determined using direct aid with an operating frequency of 2,5 and 5 MHz. Subsequently the samples were measured and compared microhardness obtained depending on the measurement results. Statistical analysis of the measurements showed that the correlation coefficient of -0,949 to -0,906 and U8 steel for steel 30HGSNA. If the confidence level is 0,98 tabulated values of the correlation coefficient for measurement on steel U8 -0,63 and -0,82 for steel 30HGSNA. This indicates the existence of a correlation between the speed of ultrasound and the hardness of the material. As the results of experimental studies in the method of ultrasonic testing of materials minor changes of acoustic contact (in the layer of liquid contact, alignment of the transducers to the sample) lead to the spread of the experimental data even on the same sample. These disadvantages are absent in the immersion control method. |
