The effect of the inclination angle of machining surface on the dynamic stability of cutting process is investigated. A number of machining tests of the surfaces with different inclination angles (from 7,5 up to 52,5 degrees with step of 7,5 degrees) were carried out for upward and downward climb milling with ball end mill. Results of these tests showed that upward climb milling is more stable for all values of inclination angle. It caused by smaller values of effective radii of cutting tool and, as a result, smaller values of cutting velocity and larger values of cutting forces. During the cutting with small values of inclination angle (up to 15 degrees) vibrations with tooth pass frequency took place. Especially this phenomenon was present in downward milling. Also it had been shown that oscillation magnitude almost does not increase when radial depth of cut increases significantly (5 times more). Furthermore, in some cases (small inclination angle, downward) magnitude even becomes smaller.
