The most widespread types of methods of determination of efficiency of activity of enterprises of food industry are analysed, namely: monographic, statistically economic, system, calculation-structural, and additional ? dialectical and abstractly logical. Rendered preference to the system method. What is characterized the study of connections between the structural elements of enterprise and connections of the investigated enterprise with other participants of market; by simplicity of settling of individual indexes and their expedient amount; by possibility to define efficiency of separate processes for the exposure of backlogs of height of efficiency of enterprise; by possibility to take into account social and ecological meaningfulness of products; gives an opportunity to analyse in a dynamics and plan future activity of enterprise. The basic requirements and criteria are certain to the system method at determination of efficiency of enterprise. Taking into account the different types of expression of efficiency of food industry, that are characterized specific maintenance, forms of expression and methodical receptions the structured system of indexes, that consists of three blocks, is considered: economic, social, ecological.
