The article contains the theoretical substantiation of the preconditions for the formation of strategic management as a separate independent direction of control, determining its features on domestic enterprises. The author argues that the most important prerequisite for the transformation of management and the emergence of corporate management have become the market conditions of managing which required fundamentally new approaches to the management other than management practices in planning and policy-economy. It is proved that the basis for the development of strategic management is the thesis about the enterprise as an open system that is subject to constant influence of the environment that requires leveling of his threats and use of the strengths to develop a long-term plan. The article defined different approaches to the interpretation of strategic management. This is enabled by their generalization to determine the following characteristics of strategic management, as: focusing on the consideration of the possibilities of external environment and internal capacity of the company; own specific methodology; complex information support; high demands to the professional skills of administrative staff; emphasis on predictive function control. The author highlighted a number of problems associated with inadequate staffing, methodological and informational support of implementation of strategic management in domestic enterprises. |
