A waveguide-slot antenna belongs to the radio engineering sphere, namely, to the category of antenna and UHF devices and can be used either as a component of antenna grids or a reflector antenna and also in the form of the independent radiators.
The antenna is performed as a section of a rectangular waveguide. A long thin slot is cut along the center of the upper thick side. A metal stud is placed perpendicular to the square of the long thin slot. The stud is performed in the form of a cut pyramid. Its cross-section square is less than the long thin slot square. A dielectric rectangular plate is placed perpendicular to the square of the narrow side of the section of the rectangular wave-slot at distance of (0,45-0,5) xb from the long thin slot, where b- is the height of the narrow side of the section of the rectangular wave-slot. The significant improvement of the frequency band sequence, the equability increase of the radiated power and the simplification of antenna tuning are obtained.
