The fast development of information technologies and their use in aviation require the usage of special software for processing the operational aeronautical information. The relevance of digital aeronautical maps creation is provided by necessity of modern air navigation systems to be in accordance with ICAO requirements and to display aeronautical information in details in the form of a digital map. The article deals with creation of a digital map of the lower airspace of Ukraine. This map had been created by means of GIS MapInfo, which is the database of air navigation attribute data and vector images of this data in the form of symbols. The map consists of 11 layers: boundaries of 24 administrative regions of Ukraine, boundaries of flight information regions in Ukraine, dangerous zones boundaries, flying zones boundaries, boundaries of exclusion zones, all airports and aerodromes of Ukraine, marks of the main flight routes, points of compulsory aeronautical information reporting, points of noncompulsory aeronautical information reporting, placing of non-directional beacon, posted compatible VOR / DME navigation aids. Practical value of work is the possibility of using this digital map by modern navigation systems for airspace management. The map can be used for training air traffic services and operators of ground control unmanned vehicles. |
