The proposed waveguide slot antenna contains a rectangular below-cutoff waveguide with a narrow elongated slot made at the narrow wall of the waveguide. The waveguide narrows along the wide wall at a specified angle. Parallel to the wide wall of the waveguide, a thin rectangular metallic plate is installed that is positioned from the start of the said slot at a distance equal to ?/2, where ? - the radiation wavelength in vacuum. Perpendicular to the narrow wall of the waveguide, the second thin rectangular metallic plate is installed. The second plate is fitted to the waveguide surface by the first plate.
