The article discovers that the coal deposits developed with open-pit method in pit edges 20?45 % of mineral margins are left, and only 18 % of mining enterprises conduct pit edge production. Other enterprises transfer these reserves in off-balance sheet and written off. The unmanned technology of layer excavation from open pit mines is the most appropriate for refining the reserves in pit edges. The principles of the destruction of mineral resources with drilling or cutting executive body aggregates (Highwall systems) make the ground for this technology. It is proved that the auger mining systems provide greater stability and sustainability of mining waste pit edge than the extraction system with continuous working body. To study the behavior of pit edge during and after the mining of mineral resources with Highwall auger system we apply numerical simulation by finite element method using the criterion of Mohr-Coulomb strength. As a result of simulation using software products PLAXIS 3D Tunnel for coal excavation in the pit edge (cut), auger holes destruction doesn?t occur by placing mines circular diameter of 1.0 in a row at a distance of 4.0 to 0.5 m apart. With a distance of 0.5 m between the workings vertical surface subsidence is only 1.33 times larger than at a distance of 4.0 m, that is the surface deformation is negligible. Change of subsidence on the surface of the pit edge at a distance of 0.5 meters between production also reaches a critical value at which it may be part of industrial buildings on the surface. It was found that when the distance between the mine workings 0.5 m compared with the distance 4.0 m, the ammount of the extracted mineral is increased in 3 times. |
