The proposed applied antenna is designed as the open end section of a rectangular waveguide with a plate made of dielectric material, a coaxial cable, and cylindrical pintles. The plate shape corresponds to the antenna aperture. The coaxial cable has a rectangular loop that is arranged in the plane going trough the longitudinal axis of the waveguide. The pintles are made of dielectric material and arranged in the middle part of the widened wall of the waveguide. The antenna aperture has parabolic shape. The surface of each pintle is covered by a metallic spiral. One of the surfaces of the waveguide plate is planar, and the other surface is parabolic. The present invention provides the possibility to match the antenna aperture with the surface of a biological object and extent the operation frequency range of the antenna. |
