The article examines the characteristics of the dynamics of the process of high-speed face milling. The advantage of high-speed processing is a significant increase in cutting speed, which makes the feasibility of its use to improve performance. It also provides an optimal redistribution of heat release (with the removal of the main part of the cutting area with chips) and reduced cutting forces. Importance has high dynamic stability evaluation processing, since even a relatively small increase vibrations at very high cutting speeds may cause damage to the workpiece, tool breakdown, or the kinematic chain of the machine tools.
The paper analyzes the effect of ultra-high ambiguity of cutting speeds on the technological processing system resistance. On the basis of the dynamic model developed by end mill vibrations made the stability studies of high-speed milling process different types of mills, taking into account changes in the values of the dispersion coefficient and hardness.
Comparative analysis of face milling cutters of different designs shows a higher level of dynamic stability of high-speed machining process with the same values of the dispersion coefficient and hardness.
