A horn antenna relates to radio engineering specifically to horn SHF antennas and can be used in communication systems, in radiomateriology and radio monitoring in electromagnetic compatibility problems. The antenna comprises one by one installed a pyramid-shape horn and a length of rectangular waveguide, an absorbing load is installed on short-circuit wall of the said waveguide. A rectangular absorbing flange is installed on perimeter of the antenna mouth. In addition, two rectangular absorbing plates located along length of rectangular waveguide are installed. Along its wall a grid of cylindrical dielectric rods is installed. Grid length is one fourth of wave length in dielectric; recesses of different diameters are cut under a angle in said dielectric. A metallic film is deposited in recesses. The technical result is reducing effective dissipation surface of the horn antenna for wide sector of observation angles. |
