| Abstract | The article is devoted the tourist events, mainly of cultural character, in Ukraine, as a resource for the development of inbound tourism, to the place where they take place. The findings are help to strengthen and synthetize the basic knowledge about events, the influence of tourist events on destinations image as well as general touristic image of Ukraine. In this study, the authors tried to avoid usual presentation of tourist events associated exclusively with the most famous Ukrainian cities, such as Kyiv, Lviv or Odesa. However, event tourism in Ukraine has a much larger resource base, including ethnographic festivals, which in recent years began to evolutioning from the initiative of individual local experts to more or less well-created industry. Some of them are collect a big number of visitors and are a real magnet for tourists. |
