According to the tendencies of digital education development - from MOOC (Massive open online courses) technology to biometrics, blended learning is defined as a perspective innovative way of improvement the national education. It is considered as a flexible combination of traditional (face-to-face instruction) with computer study (computer-mediated instruction). In order to the fact that blended education is not widely spreaded all over Ukraine, there is a need for an objective assessment of the perspectives of this technology. The revealed possibilities of using the SWOT analysis method in the process of making managerial decisions and strategic planning determined it as a way to research the advantages and disadvantages of introducing of blended learning in higher education institutions in the context of a comprehensive transformation of educational sector in the direction of combining educational technologies with the theoretical and practical attainment of management methodology. The study uses the standard list of criteria as a basis, adapts them to the conditions of the educational process. According to the criteria we choose , indicators are defined strengths and weaknesses of blended learning; opportunities and threats of the environment, which directly and indirectly influence the implementation of the technology of blended learning in the modern educational system. The results of the SWOT analysis show that the strong aspects of blended learning are predominate. Most of the weaknesses are minimized by dominating the strengths and opportunities that can be identified in the development of the environment. Revealed threats are not fatal but most difficult to be minimized. Consequently, the introduction of blended learning in the educational process of higher education is a sufficiently substantiated and perspective way out for improving the education system of UkraineDOI: https://doi.org/10.28925/2414-0325.2018.5.107115
Зважаючи на тенденції розвитку цифрової освіти – від технології MOOC до біометрії, змішане навчання визначено як перспективний інноваційний шлях удосконалення вітчизняної освіти. Його розглядають як гнучке поєднання традиційного навчання (face-to-face instruction) з комп’ютерним навчанням (computer mediated instruction). З огляду на те, що змішане навчання на сьогодні не має значного поширення в Україні, виникла потреба в об’єктивному оцінюванні перспективності цієї технології. Виявлені можливості використання методу SWOT-аналізу в процесі прийняття управлінських рішень та стратегічного планування зумовили те, що його було використано для дослідження переваг та недоліків упровадження змішаного навчання в закладах вищої освіти за умов всеосяжної трансформації освітнього сектора в напрямі поєднання освітніх технологій з теоретичними та практичними надбаннями методології менеджменту. У дослідженні взято за основу стандартний перелік критеріїв, адаптованих до умов освітнього процесу. Відповідно до обраних критеріїв встановлено показники, що визначають сильні та слабкі аспекти змішаного навчання; можливості та загрози зовнішнього середовища, що безпосередньо та опосередковано впливають на реалізацію технології змішаного навчання в сучасній системі освіти. Результати проведеного SWOT-аналізу засвідчили, що сильні аспекти змішаного навчання переважають. Більшість слабких сторін мінімізується через домінування сильних сторін та можливостей, що їх можна виявити в розвитку зовнішнього середовища. Виявлені загрози, які найбільш складно мінімізувати, не є фатальними. Отже, впровадження змішаного навчання в освітній процес вищої школи є достатньо обґрунтованим та перспективним напрямом удосконалення системи освіти України.DOI: https://doi.org/10.28925/2414-0325.2018.5.107115 |
