Розглянуто роль та значення агропромислового комплексу України. Зазначено, що Україна посідає провідне місце у рейтингу аграрних країн Європи. На підставі наукового дослідження Е. Райнерта проаналізовано причини бідності аграрних країн. Обґрунтовано, що в сучасних умовах необхідна зміна акцентів у аграрній політиці, оскільки реалії розвитку АПК України вказують на життєву необхідність його подальшого ефективного функціонування виключно на інноваційній моделі. Зазначено, що інноваційний розвиток вітчизняного агросектору повинен базуватись на взаємозв’язку із наукою та освітою. Рассмотрены роль и значение агропромышленного комплекса Украины. Отмечено, что Украина занимает ведущее место в рейтинге аграрных стран. На основании научного исследования Е. Райнерт проанализированы причины бедности аграрных стран. Обосновано, что в современных условиях необходимо изменение акцентов в аграрной политике, поскольку реалии развития АПК Украины указывают на жизненную необходимость его дальнейшего эффективного функционирования исключительно на инновационной модели. Отмечено, что инновационное развитие отечественного аграрного сектора должен базироваться на взаимосвязи с наукой и образованием. Introduction. The paper deals with the role and importance of the agro-industrial complex for the Ukrainian economy. It is noted that Ukraine occupies a leading place in the ranking of agrarian countries in Europe. Purpose of the article is to substantiate the main ways of agricultural development of Ukraine in the context of globalization. Results. Ukraine is an agrarian country, so its agrarian sector is a key of filling the budget. Accordingly, Ukraine is vulnerable to external conditions, as it is characterized by recession and perfect competition. Conclusions. In modern conditions, the changes in agrarian policy are necessary. Thus, the realities of the development of Ukrainian agro-industrial complex in the modern conditions indicate the vital necessity of its further effective functioning exclusively on the innovative model. Innovative development of the domestic agro-sector is impossible without cooperation with science and education. Consequently, the economy of Ukraine in modern conditions is more agrarian than industrial. It is very important to achieve synergies between agriculture and industry. Due to predominantly agricultural economic orientation, Ukraine's noncompetitive industrial sector should be developed in the United States or Europe. It creates the innovations necessary for the development of agriculture. Only an innovative model for the development of agrarian production under conditions of globalization can bring an economic effect by means of technological renewal of the resource base and structural adjustment of the agrarian economy. It involves shifting the emphasis from traditional scientific and technological decisions on the use of fundamentally new advanced technologies that have a decisive influence on the processes of socio-economic development of developed countries of the world.
