Стаття присвячена аналізу сучасних особливостей глобального логістичного ринку та факторів, що зумовлюють його трансформацію. На основі виявленої специфіки узагальнено основні тенденції його розвитку. Також виокремлено специфіку сучасного стану розвитку вітчизняного логістичного ринку та його трансформаційні тренди.
The article is devoted to the analysis of the global logistics market modern features and the factors that determine its transformation. Today, the trends of global logistics development are closely interrelated with the specifics of the commodity and services markets transformation. In connection with the growth of trade, the volumes of international freight traffic increase annually because of trade growth and due to volumes increase of inland transportation of semi-finished goods, spare parts and components for transnational corporations. One of the most important tendencies of the modern international logistics is the steady growth of cargo transportation in containers volumes. It is expected that till 2023 the total cost of the global logistics market will increase, which will caused the trade growth in developing countries and the development of global logistics infrastructure combined with the improvement of information technology and transport: the development of new routes, automated handling equipment and trailers, last mile cargo delivery, GPS tracking software, warehouse and vehicle management software, various technologies and new logistics management. The types of international cargo transportation in different regions and countries are different. In industrial countries, the transport system, as a rule, is represented by all transport modes. The key players in the world logistics market are mostly American companies (5 of 10 companies-leaders) — 3PL operators. According to the World Bank’s logistics performance index, 2018 country leaders include Japan, Denmark and Finland, displacing Luxembourg, Hong Kong and the United States, the improvements are in border control and customs clearance processes, the quality of trade and transport infrastructure, logistics services; organization of competitive prices deliveries; routes and tracking of goods; ensuring timeliness of shipment. According to this rating, in 2018 Ukraine ranked 66th among 160 countries for logistic efficiency, gaining 2.83 points and rising by 14 positions in comparison with the previous year. Ukraine’s share in the global logistics market does not exceed one per cent. Among the types of cargoes transport in Ukraine, the railways are still the most involved — more than 50% (54% of the rail cargoes tonnage in 2017 — iron and manganese ore, coal and building materials). In general, the logistics market in Ukraine is gradually recovering. However, there is a need for further improvement and development of logistic, first of all, transport and warehouse infrastructure, and improvement of the quality of services. Considering the modern features of the global logistics market and due to the main tendencies in recent years, the main logistic trends that experts have identified are: the implementation of the blockchain technology in the transport and logistics industry will increase the efficiency and transparency of supply chains in general in the next few years; the use of digital technologies in logistics will significantly reduce the cost of purchasing and supply chains, as well as enable logistics providers to optimize solutions for improving the safety and efficiency of transportation; the efficient delivery of the last mile will result in qualitative transformations of the global logistics market; Analytics databases and BigData in logistics will allow logistics process participants to make decisions about supply and demand forecasts, inventory management, route optimization and efficient vehicle management; logistics safety becomes the highest priority; robotics in logistics processes will allow retailers, third-party logistics companies and e-commerce companies to improve all their processes. |
