In article scientific views of scientists to the definition of innovative activity are systematized and generalized. Differences in the definition of innovative activity are analyzed. Based on terminological analysis found that innovation activity does not include research and development, which do not give rise to an innovative product. У статті систематизовано та узагальнено наукові погляди до визначення поняття "інноваційна діяльність" вітчизняними та зарубіжними науковцями. Виявлені відмінності в трактовці "інноваційна діяльність". На основі термінологічного аналізу встановлено, поняття інноваційна діяльність має включати наукові розробки, які призводять до виникнення інноваційного продукту.
