UK: Стаття присвячена вживанню дієприкметника та дієприкметникових зворотів у французьких та українських науково-технічних текстах. Основна увага приділяється їх прагматичним особливостям для забезпечення еквівалентності та адекватності двостороннього французько-українського перекладу EN: Pragmatic peculiarities of the scientific and technical texts determine their structure and specificity and must be considered in translation into others languages. Pragmatic and grammatical problems of translation determine the research actuality. The subject-matter is Participle and Participle constructions as asymmetric phenomena in French and Ukrainian languages. Participle is increasingly used and more functional in French than Ukrainian. The use of Participle and Participle constructions is typical for scientific and technical texts but it is more common in French language. In French scientific and technical texts Participle is used as attribute and predicate. Pragmatic peculiarities should be taken into consideration in adequate translation of : French Present Participle into Ukrainian- attributive clause, French Past Complex Participle –into Ukrainian- adverbial participle of perfect aspect, Absolute Participle Constructions- are absent in Ukrainian language. Absolute Participle Constructions (APC) are the most difficult for translation, it is precisely this fact that explains the numerous students’ mistakes. It is necessary to know that APC with ParticipePrésent expresses the simultaneous action with the action of the personal verb; - APC with Participe Passé and Participe Passé Composé expresses the precedent action; - the most frequently used APC in preposition is equivalent to adverbial clauses of time or cause; - the most frequently used APC in postposition is equivalent to coordinating clauses. It is determined by pragmatic significance of subordinating clauses. Having analyzed the use of Participles and Participle Constructions in French and Ukrainian in the scientific and technical texts we drew conclusion that in the bilateral translation of the scientific and technical texts one of the greatest difficulties is the translation of Participle and Participle constructions. That is why the comprehension of their pragmatic potential will determine necessary transformations to make adequate and equivalent translation RU: Статья посвящена употреблению причастия и причастных оборотов во французских и украинских научно-технических текстах.
