У статті досліджуються особливості поетичних перекладів, які здійснили представники українського письменства доби Розстріляного Відродження. Проаналізовано характер перекладацьких зацікавлень, мистецькі пріоритети та вподобання, виокремлено тенденції, які ці переклади відображали. У статті також осмислюється культурно-літературна цінність перекладів зазначеної доби. Translating activity has always been part of the artistic process іn Ukrainian literature, due to its colonial status, translation activity was slowly developing, except for individual and unfortunately not long periods. One of them was the time of the national revival of the 20s of the twentieth century. Ukrainian artists sought to enrich their native literature with the best translations of works of the past and present. They actively worked on overcoming the complex of provinciality among Ukrainians. And today there is a need for understanding and assessing the contribution of translators to the national-cultural revival of the 20-ies of the twentieth century. We need to gather and describe what they made century ago. This article describes the artists who worked on translations and what works translated. The need for such approaches is obvious: the more artistic works translated, the more diverse, the more weighty and deeper the world literature is presented to the Ukrainian readership, and, accordingly, a wider circle of people is involved in the processes of intercultural and interethnic discourses. A brief overview of poetic translations of the 20s of the twentieth century is made in the article testifies to the persistent interest of Ukrainians in German-speaking, French-speaking literatures of the era of Romanticism and Modernism, and growing interest in Georgian, Belarusian, Polish, and Czech. We have grounds to talk about the artists’ desire to introduce their contemporaries to the achievements of world political poetry, which corresponds to the mood of that time. We see that the leading Ukrainian poets and writers engaged in translations, and most of all, the Neoclassicists, who neglected the political situation at that time, consistently, deliberately and actively worked to integrate the artistic experience of others into the domestic literary space and contribute to the growth of educational and cultural potential of nation. |
