The article focuses on the particularities of agricultural business development and outlines the main problems faced by the economic sphere in the EU countries. The paper analyzes the definition of ‘entrepreneurship’, which is extremely broad and substantial and embraces economic, legal, political, and historical relations. The role of agricultural business in the development of the EU countries was defined. The agricultural business: · is one of the leading sectors of economy; · is formed on the basis of small commodity production; · defines rates of economic development, structure and qualitative GDP characteristic; · is characterized by rapid payback of costs and freedom of market choice; · ensures saturation of the market with agricultural products, foodstuffs and manufactured goods and convenience services, creates additional workplaces for rural dwellers; · has high mobility rate and rationality of management structure; · forms a new social group of owners-entrepreneurs in the rural area. It was established that the EU creates favourable conditions for the development of entrepreneurship in rural areas, including provisions of guarantees for private property, economic independence, freedom of actions of entrepreneurs, credit and funding benefits and support in attraction of investments. It was proved that entrepreneurial formations in rural EU areas obtain efficient support on the part of the state. Policy of countries with respect to support of agricultural business is implemented via special programs realized under the auspices of the European Union. It was established that financial measures of the member countries are aimed not only at the direct increase of financial opportunities of entrepreneurial activity, but also have incentive nature and are designed to direct their development, with due account for the nationwide goals. У статті досліджено особливості розвитку сільського підприємництва та окреслено основні проблеми господарювання в країнах Європейського Союзу. Головний акцент спрямовано на законо- давчу та фінансово-кредитну складову державної підтримки сільських підприємницьких формувань в країнах ЄС. |
